Chef Chris Irving is a Canadian chef and hospitality strategist whose career has spanned Michelin kitchens, remote wilderness lodges, luxury hotels and international private dining experiences.Born in Whitehorse, Yukon, Chris began his culinary career at the Wickaninnish Inn before joining Chef David Hawksworth in Vancouver. He later trained at Michelin-starred restaurants in London under Marcus Wareing and Gordon Ramsay, building a foundation rooted in classical technique and high-performance hospitality.
His international career has included leading kitchens, opening restaurants and cooking privately for high profile clients across Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, including the Beckham family and other high-profile clientele. In Canada, Chris earned national recognition with a top four finish on Top Chef Canada.
Chris is also the founder of the Yukon Chef Collective, a non-profit initiative focused on strengthening northern culinary identity, mentorship, community engagement and food system development across the Yukon.
Today, his work spans hospitality consulting, culinary strategy and institutional food systems initiatives, including advisory work connected to Canada’s National School Food Program in the North.
