BIO

Colonel Chris Hadfield is a Canadian engineer, astronaut and leader with a career spanning military aviation, space exploration and technology innovation. Born in Sarnia, Ontario, he served as a CF-18 fighter pilot and U.S. Navy and Air Force test pilot before joining the Canadian Space Agency. 

Over three spaceflights, he became the first Canadian to walk in space and the first to command a spaceship. Since retiring from active flight, he has multiple leadership roles — serving on corporate and non-profit boards, advising technology and defence companies and guiding early-stage ventures at the Creative Destruction Lab. He continues to engage global audiences as a six-time bestselling author and keynote speaker.
