Abigail St Pierre is the Director of Marketing at Second Harvest, where she leads national efforts to raise awareness about food waste and food insecurity.
Growing up, Abigail’s family was resourceful and community-minded. Her parents always made sure there was a healthy, balanced meal on the table, and she learned early on the importance of not wasting food and supporting those around you. That foundation continues to shape her work today.
Through truck ride-alongs and visits to non-profit partners, Abigail has seen firsthand how food insecurity can affect people from all walks of life — a single parent working multiple jobs, a senior on fixed income or people navigating unexpected hardship. She has also seen how quickly the right support can help people get back on their feet.
As an ambassador for the Race to Rescue campaign, she’s proud to give back by raising funds and awareness to ensure more good food reaches those who need it most.
