Thieves Stole From Second Harvest. Don’t Let Them Steal Food From People Who Need It.
Help us turn this act of theft into an outpouring of generosity. Every donation helps keep good food moving and ensures that people who need it aren’t the ones who pay the price.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, thieves broke into Second Harvest's truck yard in Toronto and cut through the exhaust systems of seven food rescue trucks to steal their catalytic converters.
Now, seven trucks are off the road, putting essential food deliveries at risk when communities need them most.
These aren't just trucks. They're a lifeline for people facing hunger.
Every day, Second Harvest rescues perfectly good surplus food and gets it to non-profit organizations supporting people in need. Our trucks deliver food directly to more than 300 non-profits across Toronto alone, helping them provide meals and groceries to their communities.
With seven trucks out of service, our ability to rescue and deliver food is disrupted at a time when demand for food support is already overwhelming.
Your donation can help us get these trucks back on the road and keep food moving to the communities that depend on us.
Whether you can give $25, $50, $100 or another amount, every contribution makes a difference.
Together, We Can Keep Food Moving
Our team is working hard to restore our fleet and minimize disruptions to the non-profit organizations that rely on us.
Your support matters now more than ever.
Thank you for standing with Second Harvest and the communities we serve.
