About the event
For 18 years, the Ontario Student Leadership Conference has chosen a Charity of Choice. In those years, we have raised over $200,000 for many incredible organizations across Canada. This year we've partnered with Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue organization.
Second Harvest works across the supply chain, rescuing surplus food before it goes to waste and redirecting it to thousands of community organizations. By supporting Second Harvest, we’re helping to fight food insecurity and protect the environment at the same time.

Each high school is asked to raise at least $250 for Second Harvest.
🎉 What are some fundraising ideas for my school?
Here are a few fun and easy ideas to get started:
- Host a talent show
- Bake sales
- Chess tournaments
- Candy grams
- Pancake days
- Car washes
- Sports tournaments
🤔 Why $250?
If every participating school raises $250, together we could donate over $25,000 to Second Harvest!
💻 How do we submit our fundraising total?
You can:
- Use the online fundraising page, OR
- Bring a cheque made out to Second Harvest c/o OSLC to registration at OSLC.
🏆 When will the total be revealed?
The grand fundraising total will be announced at Closing Ceremonies.
