Ways to start fundraising at your school
School Fair
Bring your school community together with a vibrant market fair that doubles as a fundraiser for Second Harvest! Students, families and local vendors can sell handmade goods, crafts and treats, with proceeds supporting food rescue and hunger relief. Add games, raffles or a silent auction. Turn your school into an open house where visitors can explore classrooms, meet teachers and see the impact your school is making.
Principal Dare Challenge
Set a fundraising goal — and if your school hits it, watch your principal take on a fun dare! Whether it’s dyeing their hair a wild colour, eating something funny or unusual (like hot sauce or candied crickets) or sitting in a dunk tank, this challenge is a great way to boost excitement and donations for food rescue. Ready to see your principal in action?
Move for Meals
Get moving together for a cause! Whether it’s a group walk, bike ride, dance or step challenge, students can team up, cheer each other on and collect pledges or donate to participate. It’s a great way to stay active, build school spirit and help rescue food to feed communities in need.
