Second Harvest Truck Pull Challenge 2026

Fighting Food Waste is the Right Thing To Do

The Second Harvest Truck Pull Challenge is a one-of-a-kind race that puts strength and teamwork to the test. Teams of 10 compete to pull a 20,000-pound delivery truck across Nathan Phillips Square in the fastest time, raising funds for Second Harvest’s food rescue and redistribution efforts.

Our team is proud to take part in the challenge to raise funds for the fight against food insecurity and climate change. We need your help!

Every year, 46.5% of the food produced for Canadians is lost or wasted, polluting the environment and pushing nutrition further out of reach for so many people. In fact, 8.7 million people in this country are food insecure. These are shocking numbers and they’ve inspired us to fundraise for Second Harvest.

As Canada’s largest food rescue organization, Second Harvest rescues food from being wasted all across the supply chain and redistributes it to non-profits supporting Canadians struggling to put food on the table.  In 2025, Second Harvest rescued and redistributed over 95.3 million pounds of food to more than 10,800 non-profit programs.

Support our campaign and donate today to help Second Harvest rescue fresh, surplus food and feed Canadians in need. Our team goal is to raise a minimum of $2,500!

We are involved because we know it’s the right thing to do.
